Ooh. Happy Birthday, Ayaka! Is it common in your world to give gifts to people when it's your birthday?

Would you be opposed if I gave you a gift on this day?

Well... not quite. Others would expect gifts from their friends and family, and would even host lavish gatherings so everyone can come and see them. I do not wish to trouble anyone I care about in procuring a present, though. I would much rather celebrate by thanking those around me, because I would not have become who I am today if not for them.

I would not refuse you, of course, but please don't feel obligated to give me a present. I did not tell you about my birthday in advance, after all.

Oh, I see. You are a very thoughtful person as always. But you should occasionally think of yourself and what you want more.

I actually have something I have been wanting to give you, so it's no problem. Can we meet later?

Please don't worry! I do that, as well.

I do have a full schedule today, but if you are free tomorrow, perhaps you'd like to have breakfast together? I would be happy to prepare something for you if you can visit us in Sunwaning.

[The next day, Ozymandias is ringing the doorbell of her house with a cute little sphinx kitten in his arms.]

[ Ayaka gets up extra early to prepare breakfast, as well as make sure she looks presentable as she has a guest coming over. When the door opens, she is accompanied by a white samoyed, wagging her tail and smiling brightly at their guest. ]

Good morning, Ozymandias! Please come in.

[ Like a traditional house in Inazuma, their home has an area for people to take off their shoes. Ayaka gestures to the small shoe rack. ]

Please remove your shoes before entering.

[ And then she brings out a clean pair of cloth slippers for him. ]

Good morning, Ayaka.

[Ozymandias does as he's asked, of course, changing into the slippers. The sphinx kitten is curiously watching the white dog from where it is.

He then lifts the kitten up a little.]

This little sphinx kitten is what I wanted to give you as your present. It's the descendant of my strongest sphinx, often nicknamed the Cosmo Sphinx. The only thing it needs is a little magical energy once a week.

Oh! What a pleasant surprise!

[ It's a cute little kitten like Husani!!! This is truly very delightful. ]

You seem to have quite a lot of these sphinxes, don't you? [ Still, she does laugh, covering her mouth when she does so as not to seem impolite.

She takes a few steps forward. Mochi follows her curiously as well, but stays by her feet. Then, she reaches for the kitten, not taking it unless Ozymandias gives her the permission to do so. ]

Quite a few. I don't mind it, but it's nice to be able to give them to people I care about.

[Ozymandias smiles, handing the sphinx gently over to Ayaka.]

Of course.

They're all so very cute.

[ Just like this one! And once she has the kitten in her arms, she leans in to give him an eskimo kiss. ]

Hello, little one. We'll be family from now on. Please allow me to take care of you.

[The little kitten mews. None of them are very vocal, but they do sometimes express their feelings in small mews.]

You'll get along just fine.

Thank you very much, Ozymandias. You didn't have to give me anything, but...

[ She nuzzles her cheek against the little kitty.]

This was very thoughtful. I hope the others get along with our new member.

[ Mochi seems very curious, at least! So Ayaka sets the little kitten down. The white fluff ball is surprisingly behaved, wagging her tail as she sniffs curiously. Carefully. Slowly. No big movements! ]

Right. Shall we have breakfast? I trust Mochi won't harm our new friend, so it should be alright to head inside now.

[At least the little sphinx is very calm and well-mannered. But what the actual personality will be like is still yet to be seen.

Ozymandias nods.]

Let's do that. They'll have time to get to know each other while we eat.

Please make yourself at home, then. I'll make some tea and some riceballs.

[ The rice is already made, at least! It's just shaping them and putting filling inside. ]
